BECOME AN INVESTOR IN ABU DHABI SECURITIES EXCHANGE (ADX)

To become an investor on ADX, you must create an investor number, which is an identification number for investors that is issued by ADX. Through this number, all transactions on the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) can be initiated including clearing, settlement and trading transactions.

Investors can apply for the issuance of an investor number on the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange through one of the following service channels:

ADX Mobile App with UAE Pass 

(for Emirates ID card holders)

Accredited Brokerage Firms

Customer service offices at all branches of the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange
CONDITION FOR APPLICANTS
  • The applicant or his / her legal representative must be present in person when submitting a transaction for issuing an investor number or using the smart application (SAHMI App).
  • The applicant’s age must be above 18 years old.
Documents required to issue an investor number

  • Original Emirates ID card. (For UAE citizens and residents holding Emirates identity).
  • Passport and ID card for foreigners not residing in the Emirates.
  • International Bank Account Number (IBAN) letter, providing that the bank account is solely in the name of the applicant and not a joint bank account.

  • A valid trade license copy (original for review).
  • Company incorporation contract.
  • Company’s Board of Director members list for the last certified/audited period.
  • A Letter with the list of all authorized signatories.
  • International Bank Account Number (IBAN) letter.

  • Letter of Approval issued by the UAE Central Bank to start portfolio activity.
  • A copy of the commercial license of the issuer of the portfolio (original for review).
  • List of names and signatures of authorized people from the portfolio, with clarification of powers.
  • Portfolio Prospectus.
  • International Bank Account Number (IBAN) letter.

  • A copy of the free zone license (original for review).
  • A list of the company’s board members for the last certified period.
  • A letter with the list of authorized signatories.
  • International Bank Account Number (IBAN) letter.
FOR DOCUMENTS ISSUED OUTSIDE THE UAE MUST BE NOTARIZED AND AUTHENTICATED BY
  • The Embassy of the United Arab Emirates, the country that issued the document.
  • The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the country that issued the document.
  • The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates.
